Blue, White, & Brew Raises $65K for Wyoming City Schools

Jan Wilking, Wyoming Athletic Director, spoke about the need for an indoor athletic training facility.

Nearly 200 guests attended the Wyoming School Foundation's annual Blue, White, & Brew (BWB) event at MadTree Brewing on February 1 to raise money for Wyoming City Schools.

This year's Fund-A-Need auction was dedicated to the Wyoming Champions Center capital campaign and raised over $33,000 for an indoor athletic training facility at the high school. BWB is the largest fundraising event for the Wyoming School Foundation and is always a fun and lively night of local philanthropy.

The Wyoming School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) founded in 1965 to meet the immediate needs of the Superintendent at that time. In modern years, the importance of the Foundation has increased due to budget cuts in State funding of public schools. Our donors fund a wide range of needs from robotics, garden projects, stage curtain, Viewsonic boards, band uniforms, and more.

The Foundation administers funds promptly as they are requested by the teachers, staff, and administration. We are already working on next years' BWB event and hope to see you there!

Katie Reed, Adam Reed (Wyoming High School Principal), Jeff Hicks (Primary Assistant Principal), and LaDora Hill (Primary Principal) enjoyed the event.

Blue, White, & Brew hosted many groups of friends such as Christine Guillory, Laurie Hoppenjans (Wyoming School Foundation President), and Mona Mansour.
Martha Keen (Wyoming High School Assistant Principal) celebrated with Caroline Bohme (event co-chair) the successful event.
