The Wyoming High School student musicians were happy to donate their time and talent to the event. |
The Wyoming Fine Arts Center graciously hosted the seventh annual Wyoming Winter Music Festival, a Wyoming School Music Association event. Over 70 Wyoming High School students sang, played, and performed for the audience of 130 guests in such genres as jazz, classical, broadway, and singer-songwriter. Thanks to the musicians, WSMA raised much needed funds to support music in the classrooms in grades kindergarten through 12th.
The singer-songwriter room was filled with talented performers -- all but one is a senior. Many of these seniors performed at the Winter Music Festival all four years of their high school experience. |
The broadway room performed songs from many a musicals for the crowds. |
The senior band Awkward Silence played at the After Party -- one of their final performances in Wyoming (they have played together since sixth grade). |
