The
Braxton Brewing Company opened the doors on September 25 to its new Barrel
House Taproom and Brewery in Fort Mitchell, where guests enjoyed the Barrel
House’s outdoor patio and deck areas.
Ft.
Mitchell City Councilwoman Kim Nachazel said it’s exciting to have Braxton in
the community for many reasons.

“Residents
were craving a place locally that they could walk to,” says Nachazel. “The city is excited to have a quality
business anchoring that development. I’m hoping a small restaurant or two will
make its way into the remaining spaces.”

A pleasant fall evening made for a perfect evening opening at Braxton Barrel House. |
The
Taproom features 20 taps and a 20,000-square-foot storage facility for housing
bourbon and other types of barrels for aging beer.
The
new facility focuses on craft beer innovation and is dedicated to Braxton’s
passion for barrel-aged beer and the history that lies within the wood. The
Barrel House envisions a brand-new barrel-aged environment that engages beer
fans in a new experience. Inspired by its own experimentation and work with
aging beer in bourbon barrels, Barrel House guests will have the opportunity to
engage in custom private barrel selections – the first program of its kind in
the U.S.
