On
June 10th, local Hyde Park resident Amy Youngblood spoke at NeoCon,
the world’s largest Commercial furnishings and design symposium in Chicago.
Amy’s presentation, “Commercial vs. Residential Design: How to Perform both
while improving your both line”, was
chosen among 80 other presentations from a pool of over 400 field experts.
Amy
discussed the “pros and cons” of both types of design, the benefits of
performing both, how to become confident in both markets, charging appropriately
for one’s services, ways to cross-market both specialties that lead to being
awarded high-level projects, and strategies for attracting the most desirable
clients. The over-capacity seminar was highly interactive with a long Q&A
session for attendees. Overall, it was an extremely successful
and educational event.
