Cincinnati Country Day holds 2019 Commencement Exercises


Cincinnati Country Day School celebrated the 74 graduates of the Class of 2019 during its 93nd Commencement on June 7 in the Carey Family Amphitheater.

Joel S. Brant ’87 of Amberley Village, president of the Board of Trustees, delivered the graduation address. Head of School Anthony T.T. Jaccaci of Indian Hill made welcoming and farewell remarks.

Chloe Webb of Maineville, president of the senior class, and Colin Sam of Liberty Township,  president of the student council, provided remarks on behalf of their classmates. Jan French, Lower and Middle School science teacher, led the invocation.

Gordon Wright ’85 of Indian Hill, a member of the Board of Trustees, introduced the 20 senior “Lifers” who attended Country Day from at least first through 12th grade: Sydney Baker, Loveland; Samantha Brant, Amberley Village; Molly Briggs, Hyde Park; Garrett Dickerson, Loveland; Eric Fleischmann, Terrace Park; Max Folan, Loveland; Mary Harten, North Avondale; Helen Kovach, Sharonville; Hannah Hess, West Chester; Ethan Jeffries, Indian Hill; Ava Kellar, Hyde Park; Miller Lyle, Hyde Park; Radha Mangu,West Chester; Grace Pfister, Morrow; Nathan Riemann, Indian Hill; Nellie Shih, Mason; Maggie Wright, Indian Hill; Nevie Smith, Milford; Bryon Williamson, Union Township; Olivia Yardley, Indian Hill.

Diplomas were presented by Brant, Jaccaci and Upper School Head Jenn Weinheimer.

Students received 350 college acceptances and were awarded $9.5 million in grants and scholarships.
