Around Town: Under the Sea at Wyoming Middle School

The Wyoming Middle School went under the sea October 26 and 27 for three productions of The Little Mermaid, Jr. With nearly 100 students involved, this was one of the largest Wyoming Middle School musicals ever. The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s Deondra Means directed the large cast and crew with lots of assistance from Spring Pillow, Linsey Rogers, Rachel Perrin, and Scott Powers – plus a slew of parents (yes, it took a small army to organize 100 middle schoolers especially during tech week with a full moon).

The performers both on and off the stage were amazing. Congratulations to all for an entertaining, energetic, enthusiastic show!

The cast of The Little Mermaid, Jr. was awesome.

The tech crew of the musical worked very hard – there were tons of large set pieces, loads of music, and lots of cast members to manage.

The pilot and sailors led Prince Eric through tumultuous storms.

Make-up, hair, and costume tech crew members were crucial to having a successful show.

Kate and Sophia were ready for “Under the Sea”.

Founder and Ariel, a.k.a. Juliet and Geneva, were amazing on stage.

Back in black… the tech crew AND the cast were all in black during intermission backstage.

The chefs were the perfect comedic number in the musical bringing the house down in laughter.

The Front of House Team were important members of the tech crew overseeing tickets, programs, greeting, candy grams, and all the decorations.

Addison and Izzy were villains that the audience loved.
