Salvation Army Toy Shop Auxiliary 62nd Annual Fundraiser & Doll Auction November 17

Nancy Brown of Indian Hill and Major Janet Ashcraft, Salvation Army Representative

The Salvation Army Toy Shop Auxiliary is pleased to announce its 62nd Annual Fundraiser & Doll Auction to be held Saturday, November 17 at the Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, 5125 Drake Road in Indian Hill. Our annual holiday event consists of a silent auction, a live auction and a boutique.

Proceeds from this event are used to serve children and families of the Greater Cincinnati Area.  Last Christmas, The Salvation Army served 4,105 children and 1,645 families.

This fun event begins at 10:30 a.m. with a silent auction consisting of prize-winning dolls from our Auxiliary’s doll dressing program.  The silent auction tables are filled with lovely gift items, such as two Playhouse in the Park tickets to In the Heights (music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda). Great place to do your Christmas shopping!

Also on the silent auction tables are speciality Cincinnati Bengals collectibles such as a leather Bengals football wall hanging, #18 A.J. Green autographed game jersey, a #28 Joe Mixon autographed fan jersey and 50 yard line tickets in section 110 to the Cleveland, Denver and Oakland game

Visit our lovely boutique featuring handmade items such as doll quilts and baby quilts, doll clothes, shoes, hats and scarves for 18” dolls.

The Live Auction begins at 12:45 and consists of 17 doll packages such as three American Girl dolls with extra outfits and doll furniture;  a Project Runway Madame Alexander doll with 11 outfits created for her runway show; and a Laura Ingalls doll with her bed, two horses, a wagon and lots of accessories.

View over 700 beautifully dressed dolls and hundreds of dressed bears, which will be given to children in need this Christmas, along with books from the more than 5000 quality new books lovingly selected by Toy Shop ladies headed by Pat Stewart and Eddy Wilson.

The Salvation Army brass ensemble will play Christmas music while you enjoy tasty homemade, cookies, cheese and crackers, hot chocolate, tea and coffee.

The event is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. Cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted at the auction.
