Bee Well Pediatrics offers FIRST Integrative Pediatric Primary Care option for Cincinnati families!

Located conveniently in Hyde Park, just one block from the Square on the corner of Observatory and Michigan, Bee Well Pediatrics offers a revolutionary new approach to pediatric healthcare that is based on simple, yet profoundly transformative, lifestyle changes.  Its mission is to support, facilitate and augment the body’s innate ability for healing, self-repair, regeneration and adaptation to injury or loss by restoring a special, sacred provider-patient relationship.

Shannon L. Haury, RN, MSN, CPNP
Focus is placed on the crucial role lifestyle interactions and genes play in health and disease.  Integrative medicine, by definition, blends the best of both conventional medicine with complementary and alternative medicine.  Bee Well Pediatrics recognizes the value of the mind-body connection embracing the idea that wellness encompasses the mind, body and spiritual selves of a person.  They conservatively implement both traditional pharmaceuticals as well as evidenced-based use of aromatherapy, Traditional & Chinese herbals, homeopathy and lifestyle modifications in the promotion of wellness and to support the body in healing from disease.

BeeWell Director Shannon L. Haury, RN, MSN, CPNP, is a Yale-trained Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Integrative Health Coach with over 14 years experience.  She’s also a local Hyde Park mom of three girls - 2, 7 and 10 years old.  “I understand the need for total wellness care with a more natural approach and believe it is more important than ever to create a foundation for our children and families that is healthy in body, mind, and spirit.  I work collaboratively with patients and their family to encourage participation in creating optimal health, putting children and families back in control of their own health.

“We support families to Eat Well, Play Well and Live Well so they can BEE WELL!  I believe in fueling your body with real, whole foods and working toward eating a rainbow to provide your body with the essential nutrients.  We are what we eat and need to avoid added sugar and processed foods filled with toxins, chemical additives and pesticides by shopping on the periphery at the grocery store, avoiding the middle sections and trying out your local farmers' market when possible.  At Bee Well, we are here to help and support you on this journey to health for your child and family!”

Bee Well is a Direct Primary Care office, which enables delivery of high quality, patient and family centered, integrative pediatric care to infants, children and young adults.  A membership structure is used to provide more comprehensive care at a lower cost, without the limitations of traditional insurance.  Shannon says, “As a mother myself, I see the benefit and importance of being able to spend time with you and your child at your visits, getting to know your family and child to help create and meet wellness goals!  Direct Primary Care removes the insurance company from the equation so I can focus on actually being with my patients and families and delivering the care your child needs versus the care your insurer has deemed necessary.
