St. Ursula Academy News - May

SUA Ball Reimagined a Huge Success!
Guests at this year’s SUA Ball, Saint Ursula Academy’s largest annual fundraiser, enjoyed a new twist on the event with the theme Reimagined.

Chaired by Mike and Heidi Mechley Felton and John and Camille Mechley Gartner - both from Hyde Park - the SUA Ball Reimagined allowed guests more time for mingling and less time sitting.  It also offered unique twists on some traditional raffles and the event format.

The event included a delicious seated dinner, catered by Funky’s, and Silent and Live auctions.  Local 12 anchor Bob Herzog entertained the group as emcee and auctioneer!  Guests also enjoyed music by the SUA Vocal Ensemble, and a flash mob performed a choreographed dance prior to the Live Auction.

“This event is a great way for families and friends of Saint Ursula to get together to have a great time while supporting Saint Ursula Academy in such a significant way” said Mary Ellen Lintner, SUA Special Events Director.

The grand raffle this year gave the winner a choice between two amazing prizes – a 2-year lease on a Rav-4 LE from Joseph Toyota or $10,000 cash.  SUA selected the winning ticket at the event. The lucky winner was SUA parent Teresa Denoyer.

All proceeds from the SUA Ball go to the Academy’s general fund and help to support Saint Ursula’s educational programming and provide aid for deserving young women.  Saint Ursula is grateful to all our sponsors for supporting this important event.
