Years in this position: Optometrist for 12 years, opened SIGHT four years ago
What was your path leading to your current career in Wyoming? “I did my residency at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, and I have been fortunate to continue working there for the past 12 years. But, I always wanted to have a private practice that I could make my own. I've lived in Wyoming for almost 10 years and could not be more proud to have the chance to establish my practice in Wyoming and take care of so many patients in the community.”
What is your favorite movie? “To Kill a Mockingbird”
What was your favorite subject when you were in school? “I have always loved math and science.”
Who was your favorite teacher – and why? “My high school chemistry teacher. He had high hopes -and expectations- for all of his students. And, I remember one particularly difficult conversation that I had with him that really lead me to be a better me - in and out of the classroom.”
What is your go-to-book to read? “The Glass Castle”
If you could invite one person from history to a dinner party, who would you choose? “It's a three way tie: Eleanor Roosevelt, Audrey Hepburn, and Megan Rapinoe”
What business would you love to see in Wyoming? “A great coffee shop - I can't wait for Wyoming Community Coffee to open!”
